Celebrate Ganeshotsav with Environmental Responsibility and Traditional Values: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has appealed to citizens to celebrate Ganeshotsav by maintaining a balance between preserving traditions and protecting the environment. He urged devotees across the state to follow eco-friendly practices while celebrating the festival with devotion, enthusiasm and social responsibility.

The Chief Minister said that preserving cultural traditions while ensuring environmental protection is a collective responsibility. On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha was ceremonially installed at the Chief Minister’s official residence ‘Varsha’ in Mumbai. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his wife Amruta Fadnavis performed traditional prayers and rituals, including the Ganesh Aarti, along with family members.

After offering prayers to Lord Ganesha, Chief Minister Fadnavis extended his heartfelt greetings to devotees across Maharashtra and the country. He prayed that Vighnaharta Lord Ganesha removes all obstacles from people’s lives and brings happiness, prosperity and positive energy.

He also prayed for the progress and well-being of the nation, Maharashtra, citizens and farmers, wishing everyone strength, prosperity and new hope.

Ganeshotsav: A Festival of Faith, Culture and Social Unity

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the spirit of Ganeshotsav is visible across Mumbai and the entire state of Maharashtra. He described the festival as a celebration of faith, happiness and tradition that brings communities together.

He appealed to devotees to celebrate the festival with devotion and joy while remaining conscious of environmental protection.

Highlighting the wider significance of Ganeshotsav, the Chief Minister said that the festival is not limited only to religious rituals but also strengthens social unity, devotion and collective responsibility.

He said that the true essence of the celebration lies in maintaining harmony between:
