8–9 November 2025 – Pre-Blast Intelligence and Raids
Security agencies in Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana conducted intelligence-led operations targeting a suspected terror module.
Arrests were reportedly made in Faridabad, involving professionals — including doctors — already under surveillance.
During these operations, authorities seized bulk chemicals and electronic components, believed to be used in explosive manufacturing, ahead of the Delhi blast.
10 November 2025 (Monday) – The Blast
Around 7:00 PM, a Hyundai i20 car (Haryana registration) exploded near Lal Quila (Red Fort) Metro Station in Old Delhi.
The powerful explosion engulfed multiple vehicles, triggering fires in the surrounding area.
Casualties: At least 8 people confirmed dead and 20+ injured, as per official statements from Delhi Police and hospitals.
Immediate Response: Delhi Police, NSG, and Fire Department swiftly cordoned off the site. Forensic teams from FSL and NIA were dispatched for investigation.
10–11 November 2025 (Night and Early Morning)
CCTV analysis confirmed the blast vehicle and its occupant(s).
Human remains were recovered from inside the car, leading investigators to explore two possibilities — a vehicle-borne IED (VBIED) or an accidental premature detonation.
DNA samples were sent for forensic examination to confirm the identity of the occupant.
11 November 2025 (Tuesday) – Raids and National Probe
The Delhi Police Special Cell and NIA expanded raids across Faridabad, Pulwama, and South Delhi.
Authorities confirmed major seizures, including:
